How Do They Differ?: His place in canon is swapped entirely with Rumi's, making him a rare male demon hunter, who happens to be half-demon.

For starters, him being male likely caused some controversy among the hunters. For the sake of being SUPER terrible, we're gonna say he was initially shunned by all his sister hunters. And, while he valued Zoey and Mira standing up for him against those sister hunters, there was still that kneejerk distrust towards them. Unlike Rumi, he doesn't come close to revealing his demonic half, nor does he form a bond that's nearly as tight as what Rumi has, in canon.

Jinu still carries a dark side that he has to fight, practically every step of the way, to push down. As a result, he reaches the point of losing his voice a little sooner than Rumi does, and it leads to most canon events happening much quicker, due to much more extreme desperation!

The biggest difference between Rumi as protag and Jinu as protag lies in their private moments and anything internalized. Put simply: despite Jinu being much more negative at his core, he still acts in the way he believes a heroic type should. Having Mira and Zoey by his side helps him achieve this, and it helps even more that Celine is always watching. His aunt would never let Jinu stray, which is why the order of canon events remain almost exactly the same in this AU, despite the faster pace.

Fighting Skills: He's got noteworthy physical strength and his speed/agility is enough to keep up with Rumi, the leader of her demonic group.

Spirit Vision: He can see spirits, as well as the spiritual energy that flows through the Honmoon. He's able to tell when it's strong, weak, faltering, etc., using the colors and brightness to determine this.
Honmoon Control: He can create, strengthen, and even destroy the barrier between the human and demon worlds.
Demonic Voice: When enraged, he releases a powerful scream. His demonic voice can cause the Honmoon to weaken. Furthermore, it's obviously inhuman and appears to negatively influence human emotions.
Teleportation Ability: He vanishes within magenta smoke, reappearing wherever he wishes.
Demonic Patterns: His patterns glow magenta when he's giving in to his demon side. It lightens when he casts aside his shame. He's capable of turning them invisible to the human (and possibly demon) eyes. It appears the touch of a demon can draw them out.
Demonic Eye: His left eye glows red when he's losing control of the demon side. He may have better vision in that eye, due to it being demonic.
Demonic Hand: He can turn his right hand into a demonic hand, which holds more strength and fatally sharp claws. It is mostly black.
